Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Mozart was born on in 1756 at Salzburg, Austria. He was named at the time "Joannes Chrisostomos Wolfgang Gotlieb", but became internationally known as "Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart". His parents were "Anna Maria Mozart" and "Leopold Mozart", he also had a sister called "Maria Anna Mozart" who was quite a good musician as well.
His first operas "Mitridate" and "Lucio Silla" were composed between 1770-73, so he was only in his early teens.
In 1782, he married his wife "Constanze Weber" in Vienna. The same year he composed "Die Entfuhrung aus dem Serial (The Abduction from the Seraglio)", an opera in 3 acts.
One of his most famous operas was "Le Nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro)", composed in 1786 in Vienna. This was one of three operas which Mozart worked closely with librettist "Lorenza da Ponte". The other two operas were "Don Giovanni" composed in 1787 and "Cosi fan tutte" composed in 1790.
On December 5th 1791, a year after composing "Cosi fan tutte", he died from rheumatic fever.
His operas and other works are still performed around the world today, and he has became one of the greatest composers who ever lived.
